Fortune 500 Companies Have Taxonomic Patterns

Fortune 500 Companies Have Taxonomic Patterns

Fortune is a prominent business magazine that publishes a list of the 500 largest U.S. Corporations annually. It also publishes a list of the 500 largest Global corporations.

Both the U.S, and the Global companies have taxonomic patterns. This is important because companies face existential threats just as do biological organisms. However, companies evolve much faster. Taxonomic patterns provide a way to compare the evolution of both biological and industrial entities.

Bibliographies Have Taxonomic Patterns

Bibliographies Have Taxonomic Patterns

Yes they do. Bibliographies are 3-tiered nested sets, just as are biological taxonomic families.

Family Genus Species is equivalent to Subject Source Article.

Taxonomic patterns of biological families were covered in my two previous posts.

Sources are the equivalent of genera and articles are equivalent to species. Competition for getting articles published is as existential as is biological evolution. Taxonomic patterns reflect this equivalency.

While this concept may seem confusing, it becomes clear when examples are seen. My full article is too long for a blog, but it can be obtained by clicking this link.
